At our College, we conduct regular Yoga classes to help students reduce their Physical and Mental Strain and Stress. We even celebrate International Yoga Day on 21st June every year with great enthusiasm and student participation.
CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Our curriculum is based on the INC syllabus, and our faculties work hard to meet the students’ educational requirements as specified by INC. We employ various teaching techniques such as Lectures, Field Visit Trips, Demonstrations, and other possible methods with suitable Audio-Visual aids.

As part of the B.Sc Nursing program, students undergo a 2-semester examination conducted by The Tamilnadu Dr M.G.R Medical University each year. On the other hand, for the Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (DGNM), the annual Board Examination is conducted by The Directorate of Medical Education
CO-CURRICULAR AND EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
To develop our students’ talents and help them realize their potential, we regularly organize co-curricular and extracurricular activities under the Student Nurses Association (SNA). These activities include intercollegiate competitions, exhibitions, and community development programs, and we encourage all our students to participate.

SCHOLARSHIP
Students belonging to the reservation categories of SC/ST/BC/MBC/DNC communities are eligible to apply for scholarships provided by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The application form contains all the necessary information and the college will forward it to the authorities upon request. This procedure also applies to students who are seeking educational loans from nationalized banks.
PLACEMENT
At St. Xavier School and College of Nursing, the Placement committee plays a crucial role in shaping students’ careers and offering them 100% job opportunities. The committee oversees the placement process and prepares students for a brighter future. Every year, well-established recruiting agencies visit our institution during June/July, and we also conduct seminars and workshops to help students become successful professionals. Our focus is on-campus interviews, and we encourage students to pursue higher education in India and abroad. Since 2014, we have placed over 250 students in reputed hospitals all over India, and some have been selected for countries like UAE, Singapore and Europe. A few students have also been posted in the Tamilnadu government through Medical Recruitment Board examinations. We arrange various coaching programs for our students to clear competitive exams like AIIMS, JIPMER, etc. We also organize “success meets” with our successful alumni frequently.
ALUMNI
Our alumni association helps build intellectual and emotional bonds between former and current students through alumni meetings. We encourage former students to share positive and memorable events and messages with the present graduates. The association supports the St.Xavier School and College of Nursing through alumni’s knowledge, skills, financial resources, and loyalty. It also aims to promote unity and loyalty among former students and friends by communicating and interpreting the institute’s goals and achievements.
